Ken Calway Named IBL Player
of the Week
Ken Calway has become the first Oshawa Dodger
player to be named Rawlings IBL player of the week
for the week ending Sunday, July 9.
Calway batted .778 (7-for-9) with a double, two home
runs and seven RBI's in two games as the Dodgers
had a 2-0, won-lost record on the week.
He went 5-for-5 with a home run and three RBI's in Oshawa's 9-8 win over
Toronto on July 5. He was 2-for-4 in the other game - a 7-3 win over
Barrie on July 6. He had two doubles, a sacrifice fly and five RBI's to pace
the Dodgers.
Calway is now batting .301 (31-for-103) in 30 games with eight doubles,
three home runs and 27 RBIs this season. He stands third in the League
in RBI's with 27 and is tied for third in doubles with eight.
