This Saturday June 23rd the Oshawa Dodgers proudly host the second annual Crohn's and Colitis Day at Kinsmen Stadium as defending champion Brantford Red Sox take on your Oshawa Dodgers in a 2pm twinbill.
Crohn's and Colitis is a cause near and dear to the Dodgers hearts. In 2005 Dodgers pitcher Matt Tosoni missed the entire Dodgers and collegiate seasons suffering from ulcerative colitis. Matt underwent three extensive surgeries and spent months recovering but we are happy to report he is back and pitching better than ever. His triumph over ulcerative colitis is in large part thanks to the medical advances that have already been made in the fight against these two diseases. With your help we aim to "find the cure" so no one has to suffer like Matt and the 180,000 Canadians who are struggling to cope with inflammatory bowel disease on a daily basis. We look forward to seeing to you on Saturday as Crohn's and Colitis volunteers distribute literature and have many exciting prizes and giveaways.
