Dodgers First Team IBL All-Star Ken Calway
Back for Sixth Season
Oshawa Dodger DH Ken Calway has re-signed
with the team for 2007. Ken is the longest serving
member of the team and is the only player to have
played in every season since the team’s inception
in 2002. Last season Ken had his most productive
season to-date batting .323 with six homeruns and
thirty-four RBI in the regular season. Ken, known
for his playoff heroics, came through again in 2006
swatting a three run homerun in the eighth inning
of game four to extend the series. He prevailed again in game five
with a sacrifice fly scoring the game’s winning run in the ninth
inning. Ken was named a first team All-Star as DH as well as
Oshawa Dodgers Playoff MVP and is the only Oshawa Dodger to
have received IBL player of the week honours. The Dodgers are
thrilled to have Ken’s talent and leadership back on the field in 2007.
