After months of searching, the Oshawa Dodgers are proud to announce the coaching staff and newest executive member for the upcoming season. Dan Bleiwas has been appointed President of Baseball Operations and will also assume the role of Field Manager for the Oshawa Dodgers in 2008. Dan brings a wealth of experience to the team. He is currently the Head Coach and Director of Baseball Operations for the Ontario Blue Jays and has been employed by the San Diego Padres organization as a scout since 2003. Dan’s other accomplishments include scouting for the Atlanta Braves from 1997-2002, Head Coach of the York University Baseball team from 1997-1999 and various instructor positions throughout Canada and the United States.
With this key acquisition we are well on our way to accomplishing our ultimate goal of bringing an Intercounty championship to Oshawa. Having filled this vital position we now have experienced and dedicated personnel in place to draw the highest caliber players in Ontario. We are thrilled at the prospect of fielding a winning team in 2008!
