Hamilton Cardinals 2, Oshawa Dodgers 1
In Oshawa, Jeff McGinn scored the winning run on a passed ball
in the fifth inning to give the Hamilton Cardinals a 2-1 win over
the Dodgers in the first of two games at Kinsmen Memorial
Stadium.
Neno Fussoto (1-0) allowed one hit in five scoreless innings and
P.J. McDonald pitched one inning of relief for the save.
Kevin Wallace (0-2) allowed two runs - both unearned - and three
hits in four innings.
Shawn Lynn was one out away from a no-hitter and helped
Hamilton double Oshawa 4-2 in the second game.
Lynn (2-1) struck out four batters and walked three in the win
and Sean Reilly had a two-run double in the third inning.
Matt Tosoni (0-2) allowed four runs - one unearned - and five hits
in 5 2/3 innings. Ryan Crotin had an RBI double with two out in
the seventh to spoil the no-hit bid.
