Oshawa Dodgers 9, Kitchener Panthers 2
The Oshawa Dodgers played their best complete game of the year
tonight according to Dodgers Manager Troy May.
Ryan Balan (2-1) pitched 8 great innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits
while striking out 9 and walking only 3 Kitchener batters.
Steve Butterworth (1-2-1) pitch a solid ninth inning in relief.
Final score Oshawa 9, Kitchener 2.
Ryan Crotin had a scare during batting practice as he scaled the
outfield fence to catch a fly ball. His arm came down on top of the
chain link fence cutting his arm in 5 different places. All Crotin
did was get his arm wrapped and went 2/4 with a 2 run homerun, 3
runs scored and 3 RBI.
Ryan Balan who had a great night on the mound also did it at the
plate going 3/5 with 2 runs scored.
Adam Stokes had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in
two runs for Oshawa.
Dodgers coach Gary Minacs had this to say, "In our last 3 games
we beat 3 teams that were ahead of us in the standings, that's
clutch baseball"
