Guelph Royals 11, Oshawa Dodgers 2
In Oshawa, Rob Dinwoodie hit a grand slam in the sixth inning to
power the Guelph Royals to an 11-2 win over the Dodgers in the
Intercounty Baseball League on Sunday.
Mel Melehes (5-0) struck out eight batters and gave up five hits
in seven shutout innings for Guelph. Duane Fagel allowed two
runs in two innings of relief.
Steve Butterworth (0-3) gave up eight runs - two earned - and
eight hits in a six-inning start. Trevor Churchill and Kris Kewley
each had a pair of hits and scored runs in the win.
Ken Calway was three-for-four with an RBI single for Oshawa.
