Oshawa Dodgers 16, Waterloo Tigers 4

Dodgers set a franchise record for the second straight game.
The Oshawa Dodgers set a franchise record today in Waterloo with
21 hits.
The Dodgers beat Waterloo 16-4 today in Waterloo.
When the Dodgers got to Waterloo at Noon it was lightly raining.
Manager Troy May asked the Waterloo coaches if they were going
to put the tarps on the field and they said "no we aren't playing
today, it is going to rain all day.”
To that, Manager Troy May had his players put the tarps on the
mound and home plate areas.
After 1 1/2 hours of light to heavy rain the Waterloo coaches asked
the umpires to call the game, after the umpires talked to Both
Managers, the umpires decided that if the rain let up in the next 30
minutes we could start the game.
After about 15 minutes the rain stopped and the Dodgers helped
take the tarps off the field. At this point the Waterloo coaches told
Manager May they had no Diamond Dry (dries wet spots on the
field) for the field. So May sent 2 of his Dodger players to the local
Home Depot to buy 5 bags of Kitty Litter (a cheap version of
Diamond Dry).
We used the Kitty Litter on the field and in the 2nd inning the sun
came out and it was sunny the rest of the game.
The Dodgers scored 9 runs in the 2nd inning, 4 runs in the 4th
inning and single runs in the 5th, 7th and 8th innings.
Dodgers’ starter Adam Clarke (1-1) pitched 6 innings of solid
baseball for his first win of the season.
Ryan Fraser (1-0) pitched the 7th and the 8th giving up no runs and
striking out 2.
Chad Stone (4-0-2) pitched the ninth inning getting the Waterloo
hitters 1-2-3
