In Kitchener, Mark Johnston smashed a game-winning homer in
the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Kitchener Panthers a
6-5 win over the Oshawa Dodgers in the Intercounty Baseball
League on Sunday.
Jason Williams (1-0) tossed a hitless inning of relief for the win
after starter Omar Goldson allowed three earned runs in six
innings.
Luke Baker was three-for-four with an RBI and scored a run in
the win.
Scott Robinson (0-1) was the loser after giving up a pair of runs in
two innings of relief for starter Travis Gilligan, who allowed four
runs and 11 hits in seven innings.
