Oshawa Dodgers 7, Barrie Baycats 1
In Oshawa, Matt Tosoni tossed a complete game to back the Oshawa
Dodgers to a 5-1 win over the Barrie Baycats in the first game of a
doubleheader at Kinsmen Memorial Stadium.
Tosoni (1-0) allowed one run on five hits and struck out eight batters
in seven innings.
Brad McConnachie was three-for-three and drove in a run for
Oshawa.
Alex Borgo hit a run-scoring double in the first inning and Derek
McDaid (0-2) allowed four runs and seven hits in four innings for
Barrie.
Neil McBride had two hits, including a double and a three-run home
run to pace Oshawa to a 7-1 win in the second game.
Adam Clarke (1-3) got his first win in three starts this season by
holding Barrie to one run on four hits in six innings.
Ian Holman (1-1) gave up four runs and four hits in three innings
and Jonathan Baksh put Barrie on the board with a solo homer in
the sixth inning.
