In Toronto, Rob Robinson pitched a five-hit shutout to back the
Toronto Maple Leafs to a 4-0 win over the Oshawa Dodgers in one of
four games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Thursday.
Robinson (2-0) retired 19 straight batters to start the game before
giving up three straight singles in the seventh inning. He struck out
14 batters in the game.
Mike Grieve singled and drove in two runs, including the
game-winner in the second inning. Rich Butler had two hits and
scored two runs and Rob Patterson hit a double and drove in one run.
Mick Kurhan had two hits, including a double for Oshawa and Matt
Tosoni (2-2) allowed four runs and six hits in 8 2/3 innings.
