In Oshawa, Luke Baker had three hits, including a double, and drove
in two runs to pace the Kitchener Panthers to a 9-2 win over the
Oshawa Dodgers in the Intercounty Baseball League on Saturday.
Mark Schmidt and Mark Johnston also had three hits each and Brian
Carter singled home the winning run in the seventh inning for
Kitchener.
Joel Scott (5-2) allowed one run on three hits while striking out four
batters and walking two in seven innings for the win.
Scott Robinson (1-2) took the loss after giving up two runs - one
earned - and seven hits in six innings.
Tim Smith belted a solo homer in the seventh inning for Oshawa.
