Brantford Red Sox 3, Oshawa Dodgers 2 (10 innings)

Tonight in Brantford Game # 1 was to be completed at 7:15 PM. The
original game was suspended on Friday night in Brantford in the 10th
inning with the score tied at 6 when the rain came and made the field
unplayable.
Because of the sun being in the batters eyes the continuation of game
# 1 started at 8:00 PM.
Mark Wilson took the mound for the Dodgers and got Brantford out
1-2-3 in the bottom of the tenth. Oshawa got a hit in the top of the
11th inning but could not score a run.
In the bottom of the 11th inning Brantford got a single, bunted the
runner to second and then hit a single to score the winning run.
Brantford 7, Oshawa 6. Brantford leads the series 2-0.

The teams started game # 3 right away (about 8:45 PM) and Dodgers’
starter Mark Wilson kept on pitching and threw a Fantastic game.
“That was one of the best pitched games I have seen from ANY
pitcher on ANY team this year,” says Dodgers Manager Troy May.
The two teams played a great game going to the 10th inning tied at 2.
In the bottom of the 10th inning with 2 out and nobody on, Brantford
hit a slow roller towards third base but because of the wet grass the
ball died in the grass and Oshawa had no play.
Brantford's next hitter hit a single to right to put runners on 1st and
3rd. The next Brantford hitter was Eric Wolfe (who last night hit a
two run Homer in the 11th inning in Oshawa),
Dodgers Manager Troy May decided to walk Wolfe to set up a force at
any base with 2 out.
Brantford's next hitter hit a seeing eye single to right field that died
about 20 feet into the outfield to score the runner from 3rd.
Brantford 3, Oshawa 2. Brantford leads the series 3-0.
Chris Sereda hit a pair of singles and Adam Sylvestre added a double
for the Dodgers, who host Game 4 on Monday in Oshawa at 8:00 PM.
“We have played a great series and have no wins to show for it. We
have lost 3 straight extra innings games. They have gotten all the
breaks and we have had all the hard luck,” says Dodgers’ Vice-
President Kerri Drake.
