Brantford Red Sox 12, Oshawa Dodgers 7
In Oshawa, Raul Borjas and Eric Wolfe each had three hits and
drove in two runs to give the Brantford Red Sox a 12-7 win over
the Oshawa Dodgers in the Intercounty Baseball League playoffs
on Monday. Brantford wins the series 4-0.
T.J. Shimizu added a hit and drove in two runs and John Mariotti
clubbed a solo homer in the win.
Joel Thorney (1-0) allowed five runs and 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings for
the win and Mark Ferguson earned the save with 1 1/3 innings of
relief.
Ben Chisholm (0-1) gave up six runs - four earned - and seven hits
in two innings. Reliever Adam Clarke allowed six runs and six hits
in 6 1/3 innings.
Ken Calway hit a two-run homer and Darryl Reid added a solo shot
for Oshawa.
