Oshawa Dodgers 4, Stratford Storm 1
In Oshawa, Darryl Reid had four hits, including a home run, and
drove in four runs to power the Oshawa Dodgers to a 16-5 win
over the Stratford Storm in the first game of a doubleheader on
Saturday.
Greg Speed added three hits, including a triple and stole a base
for the Dodgers. Kevin Wallace (1-0) allowed four runs - two
earned - and six hits in five innings for the win.
Stratford starter Rick Ross (0-2) allowed eight runs - four earned
- and seven hits in 2 1/3 innings.
Speed added a pair of hits and stole two bases and Sean
Cunningham was two-for-three with an RBI to help Oshawa to a 4-
1 win in the second game.
Brian Sewell (2-4) gave up one run and seven hits in a
complete-game effort for Oshawa.
Josh Elliott (0-3) surrendered four runs - two earned - and seven
hits while striking out 10 batters in six innings.
