In Guelph, Mike Alati slugged a three-run home run in the first
inning that paced the Guelph Royals to a 5-2 win over the Oshawa
Dodgers in the Intercounty Baseball League on Tuesday.
Kevin Hinton added a pair of singles and is two away from
becoming the third player in IBL history to record 600 career hits.
Scott Diamond (2-0) allowed two runs and four hits in seven
innings and Matt Lareau worked a pair of hitless innings of relief
for his first save.
Steven Reiss (0-1) gave up five runs and seven hits in 5 1/3
innings for Oshawa.
