In Barrie, Mike Cart hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning
that led the Barrie Baycats to an 8-3 win over the Oshawa
Dodgers in a special weekday matinée in the Intercounty Baseball
League on Thursday.
Ryan Spataro had three hits, including a double and Matt Van
Greene added two hits and drove in a pair of runs for Barrie.
Angus Roy (5-2) allowed two unearned runs and seven hits in his
sixth complete-game effort of the year for Barrie.
Scott Robinson (0-2) surrendered three runs and eight hits in
seven innings and Craig Megill was two-for-four with a double for
Oshawa.
