Oshawa Dodgers 9, Stratford Storm 2
In Stratford, Dallas Pearson's solo home run in the sixth inning
gave the Stratford Storm a 5-4 win over the Oshawa Dodgers in
the second half of a Canada Day double header in the Intercounty
Baseball League.
Pearson also doubled in the win, Stratford's first of the season.
Rick Ross (1-0) went the distance for Stratford, allowing four
runs - three earned - and eight hits in the seven-inning game.
Steve Reiss (0-2) gave up five runs on five hits in seven innings
and Greg Speed homered for Oshawa.
Darryl Reid belted a grand slam to pace the Dodgers to a 9-2 win
in the first game.
Adam Sylvestre had three hits, including a two-run homer and
Brian Sewell (3-5) held Stratford to two runs and six hits while
striking out six batters in seven innings for Oshawa.
Brendan Lapointe (0-2) allowed nine runs and 11 hits in seven
innings for Stratford.
