In Oshawa, Jonathan Baksh had three hits, including a
run-scoring double that helped the Barrie Baycats to a 7-0 win
over the Oshawa Dodgers in one of three games in the
Intercounty Baseball League on Wednesday.
Baksh drove in the game's first run with a single in the first
inning and Ryan Spataro stole two bases and scored twice in the
win.
Chris England (4-1) worked eight shutout innings for Barrie,
allowing six hits and striking out two batters. Derek McDaid
struck out two batters in the ninth inning to preserve the shutout.
Ben Chisholm (0-3) worked eight strong innings for Oshawa,
allowing two runs - one earned - and four hits while striking out
four batters.
Dane Wolfe had two hits in the loss.
