Oshawa Dodgers 9, Brantford Red Sox 2
In Brantford, John Hanko walked and then scored the winning
run on a Steve Lewis double in the fourth inning to help the
Oshawa Dodgers to a 9-2 win over the Brantford Red Sox in one
of two games in the Intercounty Baseball League on Monday.
Lewis drove in two runs and Greg Speed had two hits, including a
double, and scored two runs in the win. Dane Wolfe added two hits
and scored twice for Oshawa.
Oshawa starter Scott Robinson (2-5) allowed two runs and three
hits while striking out eight batters and walking three in eight
innings.
Mike Kusiewicz (0-1) gave up three runs - one earned - and five
hits with seven strikeouts and two walks in six innings for
Brantford.
Wayne Foreman had a pair of singles and scored a run and Steve
Charles singled and drove in two runs in the loss.
