In Oshawa, Joe Colameco had three hits and drove in a run to
help the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 13-9 win over the Oshawa
Dodgers in one of three games in the Intercounty Baseball
League playoffs on Tuesday. Toronto wins the opening round
playoff series in four games.
Paul Spoljaric (2-0) allowed two runs - one earned - and eight hits
and struck out six batters in five innings for the win. Dave Hatch
recorded the final out in the ninth inning for the save.
Danny Gibbons had three hits, including a double, and drove in
two runs and Jeremy Walker added a two-run double for Toronto.
Oshawa starter Matt Wilson (0-1) was the loser after allowing six
runs - one earned - and three hits in three innings.
Ken Calway was four-for-six with a triple and Darryl Reid belted a
three-run double in the ninth inning.
