Toronto Maple Leafs 5 Oshawa Dodgers 0

Tonight in Oshawa at Kinsmen Memorial Stadium before more than
500 screaming Dodgers fans the Oshawa Dodgers and the Toronto
Maple Leafs put on a Baseball show that left the crowd wanting more.
Former major Leaguer Paul Spoljaric pitched for Toronto and threw a
masterful game. Going into the game Paul's Intercounty record is
37-1. The Dodgers countered with Oshawa Junior Call up Kevin
Wallace. The Dodgers plan tonight was to throw each pitcher 1 or 2
innings each and kept the potent Maple Leaf hitters off balance. The
plan worked great.
Kevin Wallace pitch 2 innings giving up 1 hit and no runs.
Ian Okorofsky pitched 2 innings giving up 1 hit and no runs.
Oshawa Junior Call up Jordan Prosper pitched 2 innings giving up 3
hits and 1 run.
Oshawa Junior call up Adam Anderson pitched 1 inning giving up 1 hit
and no runs.
Ben Chisholm pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up 2 hits and 4 runs.
Matt Tosoni pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up 2 hits and no runs.
Brian Sewell pitched the 9th inning giving up no hits and no runs.
But the story tonight was the pitching of Toronto's Paul Spoljaric who
pitched a complete game 2 hit shutout while striking out 10 Dodgers
and walking none.
Again the Dodgers were in the game with the score 1-0 after 5
innings. A couple of walks and 2 seeing eye singles in the 8th led to 4
Toronto runs.
Ken Calway and Pat Smith had the 2 Oshawa hits.
