Oshawa Sweeps Doubleheader in 12 Inning Victory
Over Stratford
In game #2 (scheduled for 7 innings) the Dodgers' started Aaron
Gordon and Stratford countered with Chris Jones. The Dodgers jumped
out to a quick 2-0 lead after 1 inning. Stratford answered and the score
was 4-4 after 3 innings. Dodgers' starter Aaron Gordon battled hard
and gave up 6 runs (5 earned) in 6 innings while striking out 5
Nationals. After 7 innings the game was deadlocked at 6 runs. So off to
extra innings. Both teams had runners on in the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th
innings but could not get a run across with both teams playing great
defence. In the top of the 12th inning Stratford scored 1 run but in the
bottom of the 12th the Dodgers came back with 2 runs to win.
Greg Speed hit a single with 2 out in the bottom of the 12th to score the
winning run.
Greg Byron got the win as he pitched 6 innings giving up 1 run (0
earned) on 4 hits while striking out 3 Stratford batters.
