Fifteen-year-old Evan Grills was masterful today pitching seven innings
allowing only one run on five hits, 2 walks and 8 strikeouts en route to a 10-7
Dodgers victory.
The Dodgers started out the game strong scoring 3 runs in the first inning.
Pete Bako led the offence with 2 hits and 2 RBI. Argenis Paz also contributed
with 2 hits. After a shaky eighth inning, where Kitchener scored six runs to
tie the game, the Dodgers quickly rebounded in the bottom of the inning with
three runs on two bases-loaded walks. Cameron Gray was credited with the
win allowing 0 earned runs on 1 hit with 1 strikeout in 2 complete innings.
Joey Paulin got the loss for Kitchener allowing 2 runs on 0 hits with 3 walks
in a third of an inning.
