Dodgers Bats Silent in 3-2 Loss to Twins
In Oshawa, the visiting Twins scored a single run in the top of the
ninth inning to edge the host Dodgers 3-2.
Starters Adam Garner for Oshawa and Luis Castillo for the Twins
hooked up in a real pitcher’s battle for most of the night, but neither
figured in the decision as the Twins improved to 5-6 while the
Dodgers slipped to 7-6.
Kurtis Robinson got the win in relief for the Twins, allowing one run
in the eighth, with Adam Zorzit getting the save with a scoreless
ninth. Castillo went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits with
seven strikeouts.
Darryl Pui had two of the Twins eight hits, while Henry Duke drove in
a pair of runs.
Keith Grills was the loser in relief for Oshawa, allowing one run on
one hit after Garner went eight innings, allowing two runs, 1 earned
on seven hits with eight strikeouts.
