Dodgers Pound Out 14 Hits in 11-1 Victory Over
Thunderbirds
In Hamilton, the Dodgers pounded out 14 hits to rout the host
Thunderbirds 11-1.
Greg Byron got plenty of support from a 14-hit attack to pick up the
win, pitching a complete-game seven-hitter. Byron struck out eight
and walked two as the Dodgers staked him to a 5-0 lead after just
two innings.
Jordan Castaldo led the Oshawa attack with three hits and four RBI,
while James Kottaras added a pair of hits drove in two runs for the
Dodgers, who got back to the .500 mark at 9-9 with the win.
Ryan Mackie took the loss, allowing five runs on six hits over 1 1/3
innings, walking two and striking out none. Pete Lawrence had two
hits for the Thunderbirds, now 2-17 on the season.
