Purdy Walk-Off Single Lifts Dodgers to Victory
Over Panthers
In the opener, Nick Purdy delivered a run-scoring single in the bottom
of the 10th inning, lifting the Dodgers to a 2-1 win. Brandyn Agnew
allowed just four hits and one run over nine innings, striking out five
and walking one, before Keith Grills pitched a hitless 10th to pick up
the win, striking out one. Kyle Fillier had three hits, including a lead-off
triple in the 10th, and scored the winning run, and Cam Robulack and
Jordan Castaldo had two hits.
Matt Cockburn was the hard-luck loser in the opener, allowing two runs
on 10 hits in nine-plus innings, striking out one.
