Dodger Snap 3 Game Skid with Big Win Over
Twins
In Mississauga, Greg Byron pitched eight strong innings and the
Oshawa Dodgers rapped out 17 hits to maul the Mississauga Twins
10-2.
Byron allowed two runs on seven hits with four strikeouts before
Nick Purdy finished up with a hitless ninth for Oshawa (13-15). The
Dodgers broke open the game with five runs in the eighth inning.
Kofi Osei-Aning belted a three-run homer for the Dodgers and also
stole a pair of bases, while Peter Bako and Jordan Castaldo also
homered for Oshawa.
Mike Bannano was the loser, going 4 1/3 innings. He allowed five
runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts, leaving the game down 5-1 in
the fifth inning before two relievers finished up.
Henry Duke and Greg Densem drove in the runs for Mississauga
(7-20).
